Eva Sindichakis-Vita
Eva Sindichakis was born in Munich in 1975. She studied piano and chamber music with Gernot Sieber at the Richard-Strauss Conservatory in Munich. Additionally she graduated from Ludwig-Maximilian University with a Magister degree in Musicology, Classic and Contemporary History and Modern-Greek Literature. Later on she completed a music journalism study program at the Music Academy of Munich
During that period Eva discovered her passion for classical composition and was selected by Wilfried Hiller to study modern classical composition with him.
Munich´s School of Arts (Akademie der Schönen Künste), the Bavarian Council of Music, the City of Offenburg and the Promotion Circle of Munich`s Music Hall (Gasteig Förderkreis München) engaged Eva Sindichakis for various compositions.
She composed for numerous instrumentations and voice. Her works were presented by well-known music ensembles as the Dufay Ensemble of Nuremberg, the Carl Orff choir and the Ensemble “Zeitsprung”. Among her recent compositions the Oratorium “Tohuwabohu” for orchestra and choir, was performed by the Bavarian Radio Orchester and Vianova Choir directed by Anu Tali. The concert has been broadcasted in the radio.
In 2006/2007 she was honored with the scholarship of the United Country of Bavaria by the International House of Artists the “internationales Künstlerhaus Villa Concordia” in Bamberg.
2009 she won the audience choice award of Nuremberg for the premiere of her work “NYX”. She received the scholarship of the Institution “Deutsche Pfandbrief Bank” and in 2010 the music scholarship of Munich city.
Since 2008 until 2015 Eva Sindichakis is constantly being elected as Vice President of the Bavarian Union of Composers.
2014 she was composer in residence in the European Chambermusicfestival in Altomuenster, Germany.
Eva Sindichakis is living and working in Munich.
